Besides being located just minutes from the beach of Playas del Coco, several other beautiful beaches are nearby, such as Playa Ocotal, Playa Hermosa, Playa Panama, Playa Nacascolo, Playa Flamingo, Playa Conchal and Playa Tamarindo...

Nicaragua:                                                                      The Nicaraguan boarder is only one and half-hours from Playas del Coco.  Visit Isla Ometepe, in Lake Nicaragua, a romantic and quiet part of the country. For anyone who loves history, stay and tour the city of Granada, one of the oldest colonial cities of Central America. On the other hand, travel to the town of Masaya with its artisan market, the largest in Central America and bring home clothing, jewelry, or artifacts you will treasure forever.

Visit one of the many national parks and volcanoes in this area of Costa Rica:

Rincón de la Vieja National Park, the
Yellowstone of Costa Rica, is an active volcano with
several cones, lagoons and craters.
Santa Rosa Park preserves more than 120,000 acres of tropical dry forest.                                   Barra Honda National Park with 42 extraordinary subterranean caves.
Arenal Volcano National Park, also an active volcano and very popular because of  the nocturnal light show and the hot thermal waters.
Palo Verde National Park with over 300 species of
birds, including the rare Jabiru Stork.                Tenorio National Park, known for its turquoise river and waterfall.
